60 Night Mattress Trial
While we encourage all customers to come and visit one of the stores to get advice and assistance from our Bed Experts, while trying out the many beds and mattresses in our showrooms, we do recognise that this isn’t always practically and logistically possible.
So, we are pleased to offer our 60 night mattress trial to ensure you are completely satisfied with your purchase, and to give you peace of mind. This gives you the option to exchange your mattress for an alternative one, during a set period. Please read the following terms and conditions carefully:
1. Eligibility
The 60-Day Trial is available only to customers who purchase a bed and/or mattress from Peter Betteridge – Your Bed Expert website, from May 1st 2025.
A waterproof mattress protector must be purchased from us with the bed/mattress, and used throughout the product’s use.
The following standard sizes are eligible: 90×190, 135×190, 150×200, 180×200 and zip and link 150×200, 180×200. Other sizes do not qualify.
2. Trial Period
The trial period starts from the date of delivery of the bed and/or mattress to your home.
The 60-day trial period allows you to test the bed and/or mattress in your home for 60 days from the date of delivery.
A new mattress can take a little time to settle, and as such a personal product, can take a little time to get used to. Sometimes, people with the most comfortable mattress they have ever had, report that at in the first few weeks it took some time getting used to after their old one. For this reason, the exchange can only be actioned in the 45-60 day period of the trial. Any variation from this, such as to avoid clash with a holiday for example, will be allowed at the company’s discretion.
3. Return/Exchange Process
If you are not satisfied with your mattress within this period, you may reselect and exchange it for another model.
This applies only to mattresses. In the case of a divan bed, you would keep the originally purchased base, and reselect the mattress.
Where there is a price difference in selecting an alternative mattress, any additional cost will need to be charged. When selecting a lower priced mattress, there will be no partial refund applicable.
Exchanges need to take place at the original delivery address.
The exchange mattress is chargeable at the point of exchange confirmation, and a refund for the original mattress will take place at the point of inspection of the returned mattress, to the original payment method.
4. Conditions for Return or Exchange
The bed and/or mattress must be in good condition and free from any damage, stains, odours, or other signs of misuse.
The mattress must not be soiled or damaged in any way, and must have been kept in a clean environment during the trial period.
Images are to be provided of the original mattress, prior to the exchange being processed.
5. Return and delivery charges
The cost of delivering the exchange mattress and collecting the original will be chargeable at £120.
6. Exceptions
The 60-Day Trial does not apply to clearance or ex display items.
