John Atkinson blankets are manufactured at the historic Hainsworth Mill in West Yorkshire using skills passed down from generation to generation. Each wool blanket is woven and hand finished by their team of dedicated experts and craftsmen who proudly produce the finest blankets in England. They blend the wool, spin the yarn and weave each blanket entirely in-house on the widest looms in the UK, ensuring a truly beautiful finish and size that no other mill can match.



The Siesta is woven from 100% merino wool for ultimate softness and comfort. The finer fibres of the Merino sheep, mainly found in Australia and New Zealand, are softer and less course than other types of wool, making for a luxuriously soft and comfortable blanket. Each Siesta Blanket is finished lovingly by hand with whipped binding on all four edges for a contemporary finish.
